Temperature Blanket of 2020

Hello everyone, I hope y'all are having a wonderful day today. I am excited ๐Ÿ˜ I was able to have my temperature blanket done by August 31st. It has been a very long time since I was able to have a temperature blanket done on time so I can share it with everyone else.

This is my first year ever doing a temperature blanket and I am loving every bit of it. There is a YouTube that did a temperature blanket crochet along last year. I loved it so much I decided to do it this year. I decided to do some things differently with my blanket then what she did.

1. I wanted to make our birthdays stand out. So I found a really pretty thread that I can add to each square. It is hard to work with, but i love the end result.

2. When I first started this blanket I never consider that I would have love ones pass away this year. So I wanted to have a square that was just for them. The black squares are for them.

I am so happy that I can across her YouTube channel. She explained everything so beautifully. For me being a newbie I was able to follow alone very easily. If you are intrastate in doing the same one as me then just go HERE. Now that the year is almost over I am now trying to figure out what is 2021 blanket going to look like.

Hobby Lobby Clearance Yarn Haul 2020

Hello everyone, my name is Kayleena and today I am going to be talking about my clearance yarn haul from Hobby Lobby. Now for many of you this is not the first year for y'all. But for me this is the first time. I had no idea that big box stores do a very big liquidation of there yarn. I did know about Walmart and Christmas in July. This is the 2nd year that I have saved up and got a lot of toys for my boys. Here my oldest boys birthday is at the end of August and my middle boy is at the beginning  of October. And not long after that we have Christmas. That is a lot of toys in such a small bit of time. But now that I know about this yarn liquidation that happens every year, next year I am going to be ready LOL.

I am so happy about what I got. I was able to get a lot of yarn that has wool or alpaca in it. Yes I know that in GA it dose not get that cold. But my oldest boy gets very cold very easily so when I am buying him clothes I have to keep that in mind. Not only do I have to keep that in mind I also have to keep in mind that the clothes have to be light weight, soft and easy to move in. So this year I am making a lot of my boys winter clothes. I also love the look of vest. My boy's are also in the holidays. So when I make there vest and things. I was thinking about making appliques as well to be put on anything that they would like. I bet you are wondering if I might have any thoughts about using any of this yarn for my self. And the answer is YES. I am so happy that I came across this beautiful and so soft yarn. I just can't wait to work with it.

Now purple is not my favorite color. Burgundy and a pumpkin orange are. But I just fell in love with this color as soon as I put my eyes on them. So I got as many as I could find. I was able to find 4 of them. So that would give me 864 yards. I thank that might be enough yarn so I can make a sweater or a cardigan. I guess we will see.
  • Yarn Bee Marblesque (Lilac)
  • Lot #201904
  • Was $5.49 I got it for $1.37
  • 4.5mm Knitting Needles (USA: size 7 / UK: size 7
  • 5.5mm Crochet hook (USA: size I/9 / UK: size 5
  • 3.5 oz
  • 100 g
  • 216 yards
  • 198 meters
  • 94% Acrylic, 3% Wool, 3% Alpaca
Now before I go, I would love it if y'all could show me what you all got in your big hauls and what your plans are for them. I would love to see them. Happy haunting my yarn lovers.

Yarn Clearance at Hobby Lobby 2020

Hello everyone, I hope you are having a great day. All week I have been seeing a lot of YouTuber's posting there yarn haul from hobby lobby. Here I was wanting to grab my keys and run up there. But unfortunately I having 3 little ones and we had  home-school that day. I would not change my world for nothing, I love my boys. Here I was thinking that I would not be able to see or go to the sale this year. ๐Ÿ˜”Well yesterday I had the opportunity to run into the Hobby Lobby near me and guess what I found out?! The Hobby Lobby at 230 Robert C Daniel Jr Pkwy, Augusta, GA 30909 was just starting to gather all of the yarn that they would like to put on to clearance. The employee that I talked to told me that they are gathering all of the yarn that they are going to put on clearance. She told me that it might not be ready until this weekend August 22, 2020 or the coming up week. So if you are like me thinking that you would not be able to go and you live in the area then don't be discouraged my yarn lovers. Your opportunity is finally coming.

Now what do I do with all of this yarn?

If you are anything like me you have a lot of ideas running around in your head that you would like to do with all of this yarn. But there are times that I need help. So for those times here are some ideas. Free crochet patterns.
